MEET JESS

Finally: A Pet Store Marketer Who Speaks Fluent Belly Rub and ROI

I’d say I’ll dial back the pet puns, but let’s be honest – that’s not happening. What is happening with me around, though? Your email list finally doing what it’s meant to: bringing in more subscribers, more sales, and more success.

Hi, I’m Jess -

PET STORE MARKETER AND EMAIL EXPERT, OBSESSIVE DOG MOM, UNAPOLOGETIC DAD JOKE ENTHUSIAST.

Before I even tell you what I do, I need to tell you what I’m not: a faceless, oversized marketing agency. In fact, my goal is to be the exact opposite – and show up as a real human who genuinely cares about your pet business and wants to help it grow in a way that feels smart, sustainable, and actually doable.

Whether you’re busy giving checkups, grooming pooches, or running an online shop packed with treats and toys, I’m here to make sure your email marketing isn’t just set up – it’s strategic, automated, and turning subscribers into loyal customers without you lifting a paw.

It’s pretty simple, actually: I like emails because I just like people.

I ALSO LIKE DOGS, CATS, FISH, HORSES… YOU SEE HOW I GOT HERE, RIGHT?

I have such a genuine, deep love for email marketing – like, could talk about it all day (and do, much to the dismay of my husband and anyone within earshot).

And it’s not like I haven’t explored the rest – after 10+ years in digital marketing, website design, and content strategy, I’ve earned experience in just about everything. But nothing delivers like email, and here’s why:

The connection. Email is one of the only places you get to speak directly to the people who asked to hear from you. It’s personal, effective, and full of potential.

The ROI. Emails work, period. Unlike with social media, you actually own your email list – and when it’s set up and used correctly, it can quietly outperform every other channel in your marketing strategy (we love an underdog).

The sustainability. Once your systems start working, they keep working. I love building email strategies that grow with you – so you can stop chasing your tail when it comes to marketing your pet business.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT FOR ONCE:

I help pet businesses grow through strategic, personality-forward email marketing that drives customer loyalty and brings you a tail-wagging ROI.

Meet Rocky

CHIEF TREAT OFFICER

As a rescue pup, professional napper, and self-appointed head of snack approval, Rocky brings years of experience being a Very Good Boy™ to the team.

When he’s not supervising other team members and aggressively intruding on their personal space (we’ve tried to talk to him about it; it’s not working), he’s offering moral support during Zoom calls – usually by snoring loudly in the background. And of course, all projects pass his final paw print of approval before they’re delivered.

AROUND HERE, WE CLOSELY FOLLOW

Rocky’s Rules for Business

RULE #1: Greet Everyone Warmly

Whether it’s our very first meeting or your welcome sequence, how you say hello matters. Kindness (and a good first impression) goes a long way, and we strive to always lead with cheer and compassion.

RULE #2: Take Breaks Often

Rest! Is! Productive! Rocky embodies this one to a T with his hourly naps – but I think your email list can, too. Its entire job is to help you improve your customer loyalty and conversions without real-time input from you – so your business keeps growing, even when you need a catnap.

Rule #3: Stay Loyal

I’m ALL in on your business, and here to support you as email helps it grow. When we build thoughtful, well-timed emails that serve your people well, they’ll return the favor with trust, repeat bookings (or purchases!), and brand loyalty that lasts.

Rule #4: Sniff It Out First

Rushing leads to messes (and missed opportunities for rolling in the grass, which Rocky would never allow). Around here, I take the time to learn what works for your business before jumping in head over tail.

Rule #5: Treats Over Tricks

Forget shady tactics or pushy sales emails – I believe in honest, helpful marketing that feels good for you and your customers. Not only does it work better, it feels better – and it builds the kind of trust that keeps your people (and their pets!) coming back.

TAILS & EMAILS CORE VALUES

Honesty & Transparency

I’m not here to pretend I know everything – but I am here to do everything I can to help your email marketing actually work. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll tell you – and then I’ll figure it out and loop you in along the way.

Empathy & Understanding

You started your business out of a love for pets, not marketing – so it’s understandable that all the email stuff is overwhelming. That’s why I meet every client with patience, kindness, and ZERO shame

Education & Empowerment

Before we finish our project, you’ll get the training, tools, and confidence to keep things running on your own. If you’d rather pass the leash back to me for ongoing support, I’m always happy to stick around. Either way, you’re in charge.

MARKETING WITH HEART

I donate 5% of every project to charities like The Beagle Freedom Project, K9s for Warriors, and The American Cancer Society – because I believe supporting pets (and their people) goes far beyond the inbox.

Spinning your wheels is for hamsters, not your marketing strategy.

As a pet store marketer and email strategist for pet businesses, there’s really just one thing I want to make sure you know:

EMAIL MARKETING IS HOW YOU GET BETTER RESULTS WITH LESS DAILY EFFORT.

It’s strategic, sustainable, and surprisingly low-maintenance when it’s set up right – which is exactly what I’m here to help you do. Let’s build a system that fetches results, while you focus on running your business (or, you know, scooping fewer inbox messes).
